Some of you may be aware of the attempted demolition of the Ark/Deer’s Leap pub in Thetford without planning permission. I have been in contact with the planning department and they are ‘assessing the situation’. I have sent them a link to the case of the Carlton Tavern in Kilburn which the local council ordered to be rebuilt after a similar incident. It also appeared on the front page of the EDP, complete with strange out of context quotes from me. The more people who protest, the better chance there is of some action, if not with the Ark, then maybe for another pub in the future. Make your feelings known on this and other planning issues.
