The Jenyns Arms at Denver, which has been closed for about four years, has re-opened. It has been taken over by hospitality operator Sean Butler-Whyman, who has a longstanding connection with the pub and the surrounding area, and his husband James.

The Bank House in Lynn has been taken over by Ishmael, who was once one of the partners running Marriott’s Warehouse. Several of the bedrooms have been refurbished and the decking in the outside area is being raised so that customers have a view of the river..

The Swan in East Harling is adding a café to the present business..

Lynn Brewery have done it again! Their Southgate’s Stout, a 4.7% Oatmeal Stout, was named top brew from the 65 entries submitted for the Champion Bottle Conditioned Beer of Norfolk 2026 competition. They also won the Session Stout and Porter section. They won the Mild section with Red Mount Mild and were runner up in the Session Pale, Blonde and Golden Ale section with Vancouver Blond, the Premium Pale Blonde and Golden Ale section with Savage Smash and One Off and Collaboration brews with VE25. West Norfolk based Duration Brewery took runner up spot in the Speciality Section with Oak and Jay.
